Green Kungfu
In essence, this is my favourite Green Juice. I call it the Green Kung Fu. It was created from all that is gifted to us in the summer months. I add some apples instead of pears, in the fall as that’s apple season. If it’s not sweet enough, you can always add a second pear or apple. This juice saved me when I had to clear out a root canal gone bad. Yeah! Let’s just say I have great respect and love for the kungfu power of plants.
Ingredients:
1 large cucumber
3 stalks of celery
2 large leaves & stalks of dark leafy greens (like kale, collards, mustard, spinach or beet greens)
1 pear or apple
1 lemon, squeezed
1/2 inch fresh turmeric
1/4 inch ginger
4 leaves of mint
Serves 2
Preparation:
Juice the ginger, turmeric and cucumber, first. Next, juice the greens and mint in between the celery and pear, so the extraction is more thorough. Add the lemon juice in the end and stir.
Inhale all the fresh scents of summer goodness. Sip slowly and nourish.
